On Sunday morning, our parish received the sad news of the passing of Barbara Root, Deacon Scott’s mother. The funeral is scheduled for Monday August 5th. The office is closed this day so that the parish staff may attend the funeral. Please join your prayers for the repose of her beautiful soul and for the grieving of the Root family. She will be greatly missed. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday August 5, 2024 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 2596 Cornwall Road, Cornwall, PA 17016. Internment will follow at Millbach Cemetery in Newmanstown. A viewing will be held prior to Mass from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara’s name may be made to the tuition assistance program at Trinity High School in Camp Hill, PA or Our Lady of the Cross School in Lebanon, PA.
