Join us for a bring-your-own-picnic lunch on Sunday, October 11th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the gazebo behind Saint Joseph’s in Mechanicsburg. We’re excited to offer this chance to finally get together this year and hope that you’ll be able to join us!
As Americans, we have a duty to engage in the political process. But as Catholics, we also have a duty to proclaim the Kingdom that we hope to enjoy forever. Fr. Tim Sahd will speak to us about how our faith can transform how we view politics. Fr. Sahd worked in politics before he entered the priesthood, so his background is particularly relevant. He is now the parochial vicar at Saint Joseph’s parish and chaplain at Trinity High School. Please bring your own picnic lunch to enjoy during Father’s talk, if you wish, or you can come just to listen. We will be meeting outside near the gazebo which has plenty of lawn space for blankets and chairs. Out of respect for the parish and diocese, we ask that everyone wear a face mask (except when eating) and practice social distancing. The gazebo is located at the corner of E Keller and S Chestnut Streets at the parish rectory. Parking is available in the church parking lots or along the street. Since this is an outdoor event, we will cancel if the forecast calls for rain. Our rain date will be October 18th, if necessary. WHAT: Catholic Young Adult Bring-Your-Own-Picnic with guest speaker Fr. Tim Sahd WHEN: October 11th, 2020 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm WHERE: The gazebo at Saint Joseph’s parish in Mechanicsburg, corner of Keller and Chestnut WHO: Catholic young adults aged 18 to 40 ALSO: Please wear a mask (except when eating). |
