Simply Sharing Jesus

For many of us, our Catholic faith is personal. Sometimes our faith runs so deep and personal that we do not know how to share it with one another. We forget that at the end of each Mass we are called to go forth and proclaim the gospel.  If you feel that this may be your pitfall in fulfilling the call to evangelize the love of Jesus with others, perhaps borrowing some lessons from our evangelical brothers and sisters will help.

‘Simply Sharing Jesus’ by The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association is a short booklet that keeps the message of proclaiming the gospel simple. It reminds us that it is God who is doing the converting we are simply the instrument.

*We are to pray for those we want to share the gospel with,

*We are to be a good example for others,

*We should have our story of how God has impacted your life

*We are to show how Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection made it possible for us to live eternity with God in heaven.

For questions on sharing the Catholic faith, you are invited to reach out to Father Ken, and Deacon Scott with questions, participate in one of several groups like Adult Faith Formation on Thursday mornings, Scripture Studies on Thursday evenings, Harrisburg Young Adult Catholics, or check out many of the Catholic resources online like Formed.org through the Augustine Institute, Church Pop on social media, Word on Fire or Busted Halo.
