Thanksgiving Food Drive Update 11.10.21

Thank you for the donations to the annual Thanksgiving Blessings Food Drive for New Hope Ministries and our own parish Thanksgiving Baskets!

We will continue to collect food for the holidays and throughout the year for New Hope and our own parish pantry.

It is always a good idea to have extra food supplies on hand. Whether it is unpredictable weather, not feeling well, or food supply shortages. Make sure you have food for your family and have extra as a way to give to others as the need arises.

Manna Bags are available in the narthex. However, any bag of non-perishable foods are welcomed.

Each month New Hope Ministries provides a wish list. Visit their website or pick up a list in the narthex. Not only are food items of value but personal hygiene items are important as well.

Thank you for supporting New Hope Ministries whose mission is to give a hand up not just a hand out. If you are looking for a way to help consider volunteering your time with them.

Prayers of health and peace for  you and your families as we enter the holidays. Our Lord is a bountiful God who loves to bless us out of His abundance. We learn by walking in faith that by giving of ourselves we receive. Think of this past Sunday’s readings where the widow gave all she had to the Lord and how this was received as a gift of generosity. Or the widow who bake Elijah a cake from the last of her flour and oil expecting to die after this last meal. But instead her flour and oil supply never ended. It was through obedience and love that these women were blessed. May you know and follow God with such confidence and see what a blessing He has for you as well.

Happy Thanksgiving!
